Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage where millions of Hindus gather at the “Sangam”, a meeting place of the worshipped rivers Ganges, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati, at ‘Prayag’ where bathing for purification of sins is considered highly auspicious.The festival is referred to as largest gathering of earth where in 2001, about 40 million people gathered on the busiest 55 days.
